Arabic Singing Workshop with Hadi, presented by Noor Theater

Join Noor Theatre, The Brooklyn Nomads, and The People’s Forum for a night of communal singing led by Hadi Eldebek of The Brooklyn Nomads.

Hadi will take us through the basics of Arabic music and teach us a classic Lebanese song. Whether you’re a complete beginner or this music feels like home to you, singing together will be a meaningful way to connect with an extraordinary tradition!

While tickets to these workshops typically cost $40, Noor Theatre is happy to offer subsidized tickets of $15 for all attendees. Light refreshments will be served. What? About Hadi Eldebek

Hadi Eldebek is a New York City–based Oud player, composer, educator, and cultural organizer. His work brings together performance, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with a focus on cultural dialogue, social impact, and collective creative processes. He has collaborated with institutions and initiatives including Silkroad Ensemble, Harvard Graduate School of Education, The Kennedy Center, TED, and Walt Disney Imagineering. Across these contexts, his work explores how music and the arts can serve as tools for connection, reflection, and meaningful engagement. Hadi is the co-founder of several initiatives, including grantPA, Circle World Arts, The Brooklyn Nomads, Step Inward, and Learn It Well—projects that span performance, education, and community-based creative work. Selected Projects Dar (2025) — A participatory performance centered on the idea of “home,” inviting audiences into a shared emotional experience through music, voice, and collective presence.
